
Those whose minds have reached full excellence,
In the factors of awakening,
Who, having renounced acquisitiveness,
Rejoice in not clinging to things.
Rid of taints, glowing with wisdom,

Saturday Meditation at the Monastery
in the Minnesota Lake Country, Chisago County

Please join us in the pagoda. No meditation instruction is given Saturday morning; those desirous of instruction should make arrangements with BC. The schedule:
- 8:00 – seated meditation
- 8:30 – walking meditation
- 8:40 – seated meditation
- 9:10 – finish
Important: Enter silently and maintain silence throughout. Please arrive either well before 8:00, or during the period 8:30 – 8:40, so that seated meditators will not be disturbed during the posted times. Guidelines can be found HERE.
Sunday Jade Temple Dhamma Talks


BC offers occasional talks via Zoom for the Sunday morning program in the Kwan Yin Hall at Jade Buddha Temple in Houston, TX. Each Sunday there is a guided meditation at 10 am Central (Chicago) Time, followed by a short Dhamma Talk at 10:30 am, offered either in person or via Zoom on the big screen. We read and discuss a book together. Past books include The Dhammapada, Bhikkhu Bodhi’s In Buddha’s Words, Rick Fields’ How the Swans Came to the Lake, and my own Where Dharma Meets Practice. We discuss the book, generally with me dominating the conversation.
